With seven decades as an industry leader, Royal LePage® CommercialTM is stepping into its next chapter of growth. The brand is making significant investments in talent, technology and infrastructure to back a national network of over 650 commercial real estate practitioners.
Royal LePage Commercial now offers a collaborative ecosystem built to fast-track entrepreneurial success. Rather than follow legacy commercial models, where high overhead and large corporate splits favour the brokerage, our transparent, agent-first commission structure lets top producers keep more of what they earn and build businesses that last.
What we’ve accomplished in the first half of 2026
To start, demand for the 2026 Royal LePage Commercial Summit, a dedicated two-day national commercial conference held within the Royal LePage® National Sales Conference, was unprecedented. Available tickets sold out in three minutes. That response prompted an immediate expansion to more than double the event’s original capacity, a clear signal of the energy building across the network.
The structural work behind the scenes has matched that enthusiasm. So far this year, Royal LePage Commercial has:
- Launched the National Commercial Advisory Council (NCAC): A first-of-its-kind advisory body that unites senior commercial practitioners from different regions and specialties nationwide to help guide the direction of the practice at the national level.
- Published the 2026 Royal LePage Commercial Real Estate Report: A comprehensive national research publication offering data-rich analysis and on-the-ground insights from Royal LePage Commercial experts across major Canadian markets and commercial asset classes. Produced internally, it was distributed across the network, throughout the industry and to consumer media.
- Introduced a dedicated commercial training series: Led by industry veteran Georges Renaud, the series establishes a structured professional development pathway for Royal LePage experts to sharpen their commercial real estate knowledge.
- Fully revamped its intranet for commercial practitioners (internal platform): A single, cohesive platform that centralizes tools, resources and updates, designed specifically around the workflows and needs of commercial practitioners.
- Launched the 2026 Royal LePage Commercial Summit: A national gathering of commercial professionals for peer sharing, commercial programming, market discussion and referral-building within the wider Royal LePage network.
Taken together, these initiatives reflect an ongoing commitment to positioning the Royal LePage Commercial Division as the leading national platform for commercial real estate professionals in Canada.
Where we’re headed
It has been a busy and productive first half of the year, and the work is only beginning. The next phase comes down to one priority: quality.
We are investing in education, mentorship, marketing resources, deal support and industry-leading technologies that help practitioners grow their businesses across every part of the sector. The division is helping professionals deepen their market knowledge and expertise so they can deliver the elite service their clients deserve.
This new direction is about supporting independent practitioners with the brand power, network support, and resources needed to grow their own commercial business in every Canadian market. The focus is on building clear development pathways, structured mentorship, and a consistent standard for what it means to be part of the Royal LePage Commercial brand. Building on the success of the platform, we’re taking a strong national network and creating a more connected, visible and strategically aligned commercial division.
At the heart of this evolution is a deliberate growth strategy aimed at attracting and retaining high-quality professionals through several channels. One is expanding the footprint of standalone commercial brokerages, building on the three already in operation: Royal LePage Commercial Westhaven in Toronto, Royal LePage Commercial East in Nova Scotia and New Brunswick, and Royal LePage APM Commercial on Prince Edward Island. The strategy is designed to ensure these standalone operations, along with practitioners working within franchise and corporately-owned brokerages, receive the national-level support they need to thrive and serve their clients well.
“Royal LePage Commercial has always held a leadership position in Canadian commercial real estate, and we intend to keep raising the bar,” said Phil Soper, President and CEO of Royal LePage. “We are modernizing and strengthening our platform by investing heavily in specialized education, national collaboration, and practical, AI-driven tools that help entrepreneurial professionals build lasting businesses. Crucially, we are breaking away from traditional, house-heavy commercial operating models. We have built an environment that shifts equity back to the practitioner, rewarding client service and true entrepreneurship. This is a platform explicitly designed for where the industry is going next.”
This is a business built for those who take commercial real estate seriously. The goal is straightforward: when a client, colleague or counterpart works with someone from Royal LePage Commercial, they know the excellence and professionalism they can count on. Working closely with the National Commercial Advisory Council, the division’s new direction will be shaped by practitioner-led insights and the field experience of professionals operating across Canada.
