Royal LePage® Country Estates Realty has recently announced a change in ownership. Jeff Rodgerson has taken the helm of the Prince Edward Island brokerage from Steven Malayny, marking an exciting new chapter for a team with deep roots in the region.
The transition puts the brokerage in strong hands. A longtime and valued member of the Royal LePage Country Estates team, Jeff brings a deep understanding of the office, its agents and its place in the community, making him a natural fit to lead the brokerage into its next phase of growth.
“I couldn’t be happier, and I look forward to what our company will accomplish in the coming years,” he said.
It’s that team, he says, that has kept him at Royal LePage Country Estates throughout his career.
“Our team is second to none, filled with loyalty, personality, collaboration and leadership. Combine that with national connection resources, internal support and a willingness to go the extra mile, and you have a culture I’ve always wanted to remain a part of,” he said.
While being named one of Royal LePage’s Top 35 Under 35™ in 2025 was a significant milestone, Jeff believes great leadership is about more than recognition. His approach is built on collaboration, responsiveness and helping agents succeed.
“I’ve always been a doer. I hope my team knows I will get whatever task is in front of us done, that I will always look out for their best interests, and that they can lean on me in any situation,” he said.
His vision for the brokerage? Build on what already works. Jeff believes the brokerage has a strong foundation and is focused on continuing its growth while staying true to what has made it successful. Instead, he plans to focus on deeper engagement with the national referral network, which he calls invaluable, and getting more out of tools like Royal LePage’s Smart LeadsTM to support agent success.
Reflecting on this next chapter, Jeff shared his appreciation for the people who helped shape his career.
“Steven has been a mentor to me and many others for years, and I hope that continues for many more. I have big shoes to fill, and I will be lucky to be half as reliable, knowledgeable and consistent as he is,” he said. “I’m grateful to Steven and Tara for their support throughout the acquisition process. I also admire the hard work I’ve seen from our agents and staff over the busy summer months. They have been nonstop, and I am proud to be part of this dedicated team.”
