Consistency is key: Here’s how this Royal LePage agent achieved Top 1% success

Having started his real estate journey in 2021, Karan quickly climbed the ranks to join the National Chairman’s Club as a Top 1% performer at Royal LePage. His secret? It starts with a daily routine that helps him focus on his goals and stay ahead of the curve in an ever-evolving and competitive market.

We spoke to Karan about his rise to success, and asked him to share advice for agents looking to build fulfilling careers in real estate. Here’s what he had to say:

Having a daily routine is a critical aspect of running a successful real estate business, especially considering how fast-paced this career can be. How do you set yourself up for success each day?

My routine is a significant part of what keeps me on track. Every morning, I wake up early and spend some time planning out my day. I prioritize tasks, schedule appointments, and plan key activities that will get me closer to my goals. I set clear goals for the day, week, and month to keep both short- and long-term targets in sight. Each day, I focus on sticking to the plan—whether it’s making prospecting calls, following up with clients, or creating content for social media. This routine helps to keep me moving forward and on top of my game.

What advice would you share with a fellow agent looking to build a successful real estate career?

I’d say there are three things I’ve prioritized to get to where I am now. First off, consistency is everything. In this industry, committing to daily activities is key. Set aside time each day for prospecting, following up with leads, and nurturing relationships. It is not about making a big push now and then; it’s about steady, persistent efforts that build over time.

Then, there’s leveraging technology. You should not underestimate the power of a good Client Relationship Manager (CRM) to mine your database for opportunities. It helps me stay organized and proactive, making sure I am always updating and reaching out to my past clients. Keeping in touch is critical—it can lead to repeat business and referrals.

Lastly, it is important to have a strong social media presence. Social media is such a powerful tool for increasing visibility, fostering connections and building your reputation.

You mentioned that a strong social media presence is an important aspect of your strategy. Would you mind sharing a few examples or tips on how you have differentiated yourself from the “noise,”?

To cut through the noise, I post very regularly to keep my audience engaged. My content is value-driven—I post market updates, tips for buyers and sellers, and success stories with clear calls to action that encourage interaction and lead conversion. I focus on creating original content that reflects my unique perspective and expertise, rather than recreating the same type of content that others are doing. 

The most important part of my social media strategy is connecting with my audience by responding to comments and messages as soon as possible. Remember, people want to see the real you, not just your polished professional side. Be authentic, share your unique expertise, and let your true personality come through. Potential clients will appreciate the authenticity.

Your approach to social media is really impressive—it’s clear that staying original and engaged with your audience makes a big difference. Given your success and the effort you put into your strategy, what motivates you to continue excelling as a Top 1% agent?

I have to say that my primary motivation comes from aspiring to be Royal LePage’s REALTOR® of the Year one day. I have never settled for anything less in my life. Now, I want to see our team break our daily records, and I’m fully prepared to invest my time to help make this a reality. I grew up watching my father successfully manage a manufacturing factory, and to this day, he continues to work as diligently as I do. I aim to make my family proud by taking my achievements to the next level. 

Apart from that, I love helping families grow their wealth through real estate. I have been investing in real estate for some time, which has helped me connect with fellow investors and understand their goals. Now, my goal is to help others achieve their real estate goals and see the happiness on their faces when they realize their opportunities.
