When Bryan Alan Masse was named the 2025 A.E. LePage REALTOR® of the Year for the Prairies, the recognition reflected more than sales success. It celebrated a business built on thoughtful leadership, strong systems and an unwavering commitment to client service.
Since entering the industry in 2015, Bryan has grown his business by focusing on a simple principle: solve problems for people. While real estate transactions are often measured in numbers, Bryan believes long-term success comes from creating exceptional experiences that clients remember long after the deal is complete.
That philosophy has helped him build a business where referrals and repeat clients account for the majority of his transactions. Rather than focusing solely on lead generation, Bryan prioritizes relationships, consistent communication and delivering value at every stage of the client journey.
Creating a business that scales
Like many successful agents, Bryan quickly realized that growth brings its own challenges.
As transaction volume increased, so did the demands on his time. Instead of simply working longer hours, he focused on building systems that would allow the business to grow sustainably.
From refining workflows to strengthening team structure, Bryan invested heavily in creating operational efficiencies that support both clients and team members. The result is a business designed to deliver a consistent experience while creating capacity for continued growth.
For agents looking to scale, Bryan believes strong systems are just as important as strong sales skills.
“Growth becomes difficult when every process depends on one person,” he says. “The more you can systematize, the more freedom you create for yourself, your team and your clients.”
The power of relationships
Despite advances in technology and marketing, Bryan remains convinced that relationships are the foundation of a successful real estate business.
One habit that has become central to his approach is thoughtful follow-up. After meeting clients, referral partners or members of his community, Bryan makes a point of reconnecting with them personally, often within a day or two. A handwritten note is one of his favourite ways to do this, creating a memorable, personal touchpoint that helps him stand out and strengthen relationships long after the initial conversation.
While simple, this practice helps strengthen relationships and demonstrates genuine interest beyond the transaction itself.
It’s an approach that has contributed to a referral-driven business and reinforces a lesson Bryan believes every agent should remember: people do business with those they know, trust and remember.
Becoming a trusted resource
Rather than positioning himself as a salesperson, Bryan focuses on being a resource and advisor.
Through community involvement, educational events and ongoing communication, he works to provide value before a client is ready to buy or sell. By building trust over time, he has created lasting relationships that continue to generate opportunities.
For Bryan, success comes from understanding people’s goals and helping them make informed decisions, not from chasing transactions.
Investing in people
Bryan is also a strong believer in surrounding himself with the right people.
Whether it’s team members, business partners or industry colleagues, he credits much of his success to the talented individuals who help support the business. Creating an environment where people can thrive has allowed the team to deliver a higher level of service while continuing to grow.
It’s a reminder that even in a highly entrepreneurial industry, success is rarely achieved alone.
Giving back to the community
Bryan believes success is measured not only by the business you build, but by the impact you have on others. A passionate supporter of the Royal LePage® Shelter FoundationTM, he has dedicated his time to helping women and children experiencing intimate partner violence.
Most recently, Bryan participated in the Challenge for Shelter Trek, raising more than $20,000 in support of the cause. For him, giving back is a natural extension of the relationship-focused approach that defines both his business and his leadership.
“It’s an opportunity to make a meaningful difference beyond real estate,” he says. “Supporting the Shelter Foundation is something I’m incredibly proud to be part of.”
Never stop learning
Throughout his career, Bryan has embraced continuous learning, seeking opportunities to improve both personally and professionally.
He regularly participates in industry events, training programs and networking opportunities, but believes the real value comes from putting new ideas into practice.
For agents looking to elevate their business, Bryan encourages a mindset of constant improvement. Small changes implemented consistently can create meaningful results over time.
Advice for fellow agents
When asked what advice he would offer to others in the industry, Bryan’s message is straightforward: focus on relationships, build strong systems and always put the client first.
Markets change, technology evolves and trends come and go.,but businesses built on trust, service and genuine human connection continue to stand the test of time.
