Royal LePage West Real Estate Services REALTOR® Rebecca Permack, along with her team at Burke Mountain Homes, raised $6,552 at their 8th Annual Burke Mountain Easter Egg Hunt in support of the Royal LePage Shelter Foundation. Funds will benefit women and children seeking safety from domestic violence at local women’s shelter, Tri-City Transitions.

700 children and their families from the Burke Mountain community in Coquitlam, British Columbia attended the event to search for 40,000 chocolates, enter coloring contests, have their faces painted and enjoy a live band. Special guests included City of Coquitlam mayor Richard Stewart and MLA Joan Isaacs, as well as volunteers from the local Scout Troop and Tri-City Transitions.

“Despite the threat of rain, which has us on guard each and every year, we were delighted with the incredible turnout and the thousands of dollars we raised for the Royal LePage Shelter Foundation,” said Permack. “We are so proud of the way our community comes together at this event to support our local women’s shelter and can’t wait to debut our new and improved location in 2019!”
