Royal LePage Lannon Realty, in partnership with AMJ Campbell Van Lines, announced that 166 baskets were collected at their 8th annual Thunder Bay ‘Baskets of Hope’ drive. This brings their eight year total to more than 660 baskets raised with an estimated value of $138,000 in donations.

Baskets of housewares, linens, personal care items and comforting gifts were filled by brokerage management, agents and staff, as well as generous community supporters and business partners. The bounty was delivered to two Thunder Bay area women’s shelters – Faye Peterson Transition House and Beendigen. The shelters provide the baskets to women transitioning from shelter who are faced with the often daunting and costly task of rebuilding their homes.

“It has been our extreme pleasure to support the women’s shelters,” said Thunder Bay Basketeers coordinator and Royal LePage Lannon Realty marketing coordinator, Jaime Roach. “These baskets have a huge impact on the lives of women in crisis, and shows them that they have the support of our community behind them.”
