5th Annual ‘Chip for Charity’ raises more than $10,000 for local women’s shelter

Royal LePage Atlantic Homestead in St. John’s, NL hosted their fifth annual ‘Chip for Charity’ golf tournament in support of the Royal LePage Shelter Foundation.

More than 100 attendees enjoyed a day of golf, games, awards and an evening banquet at the event, which was held on August 2 at the Bally Haly golf course. More than $10,000 was raised, bringing the event’s five year fundraising total to $50,000, 100% of which benefits local women’s shelter, Iris Kirby House.

“The day was a huge success and we’re already planning for next year,” said organizer Karen Newman. “We love the opportunity to raise funds for our local shelter while renewing and building friendships with other real estate professionals and business partners.”

Committee members included Karen Newman, Pauline “Chive” Jensen, and Nick Vinicombe and Craig Blanchard (Co-Owners), all of Royal LePage Atlantic Homestead.
