Search by commute times for bike, car, transit or on foot
By Fred Lee Digital Product Manager
We know for many homebuyers, one of the biggest considerations is commute times. When looking for the perfect home, how long it takes to travel between home and work, or a frequently-visited address, is important to homebuyers. For example, you might want to live within a 20 minute bike ride from work, and be able to search homes for sale based on that criteria.
Well, good news! We are very pleased to introduce the new Travel Time Search on royallepage.ca!
Whether you drive, walk, bike, or take transit, royallepage.ca can recommend areas and neighbourhoods to consider that are within your desired travel time. Whether you’re commuting to a place of work, your child’s daycare, school or another point of interest, you can explore neighbourhoods and homes that allow you to meet a specified commute time.
Now, when you visit royallepage.ca, you will notice a new “By Travel Time” tab on the homepage above the main Search.
Try it for yourself. Visit royallepage.ca and click on the tab to reveal your Travel Time search options.
First, enter a starting point, which can be a landmark, neighbourhood or a specific address. For example, enter the landmark CN Tower in Toronto, or a neighbourhood such as Yaletown in Vancouver, or a specific address such as your daughter’s school. After entering the location, set your desired commute duration and your mode of transportation, then hit Search.
The resulting map will display a cloud representing the area meeting your criteria, overlaid with property listings. For example, here is the area within a 30 minute walk of “The Forks, Winnipeg, MB.”
Handy, don’t you agree? Click listings on the side and on the map itself. Adjust the map by playing with the Travel Time slider. Change the mode of transportation. This interface is designed to fiddle with and explore! Have fun!
Tell your friends about the new Travel Time search on royallepage.ca and remember to come back soon! Helping you is what we do.™
