Royal LePage Shelter Foundation supporters raised $27,000 in support of domestic violence prevention at the 7th Annual Shelter Soiree in Toronto, ON. Guests from across the province, and as far away as British Columbia, gathered to “Shake, Rattle & Bowl for Shelter” at the 1950s-themed bowling event hosted by the Royal LePage Shelter Foundation. Dressed as Pink Ladies and greasers, guests sipped vintage cocktails, danced to throw-back music and posed with Marilyn Monroe and Elvis Presley impersonators. The evening featured a casually competitive tournament, with Royal LePage Triland Realty in London, Ontario taking home the top team prize, and Alexa Payne of Royal LePage Connect Realty and Jeff Nethercott of Royal LePage Landco Realty winning the women’s and men’s champion titles.
Funds raised at the Shelter Soiree support programs that help women and children rebuild their lives after abuse and other innovative work to help put an end to domestic violence. The Royal LePage Shelter Foundation is proud to be Canada’s largest public foundation dedicated exclusively to funding women’s shelters and domestic violence prevention and education.
