ROYAL LEPAGE NORALTA REAL ESTATE OWNERSHIP CHANGE
We are pleased to announce that ownership of Royal LePage Noralta Real Estate has been transferred to Tom Shearer, effective June 6, 2014.
Tom takes over the brokerage from his father Ken Shearer who is a 40-year veteran of the real estate industry. Ken was an area manager for the Royal LePage offices in the South Edmonton area during the time when all Royal LePage brokerages were corporately owned. Ken then acquired a number of Edmonton-area Royal LePage offices in 1999.
Ken has dedicated his time to numerous professional organizations, including serving as president on the Board of Directors for the Edmonton Real Estate Board (Realtors Association of Edmonton). He also served as president of the Alberta Real Estate Association, and was the first chair of the Real Estate Council of Alberta, where he, along with others, was instrumental in moving organized real estate to a self-regulated industry in Alberta. Ken will continue to hold his license at Royal LePage Noralta Real Estate.
Tom Shearer began his real estate career in 2000. Over the past 14 years, Tom has served on numerous board committees. He is also an active volunteer and has devoted his time and efforts on two separate medical missions. Tom is an avid sailor and a former member of the Canadian sailing team. He also enjoys skiing and at one time worked at Lake Louise Ski Resort . Today, he participates in both sports as much as his time permits.
Tom and his wife Kathleen have three daughters, with a fourth baby on the way.
