Kent Browne honoured with “Community Builder Award” from United Way of Ottawa

A charity auction breakfast that raised an eye-popping $46,543 on May 13 for The Ottawa Hospital also brought a surprise honour for Kent Browne, owner of Royal LePage Team Realty and Royal LePage Gale Real Estate.

At the event, the United Way of Ottawa honoured Kent Browne with the “Community Builder Award.”  The award was bestowed to recognize the wide range of causes that Kent has contribute to over the years, ranging from shelters for abused women to  programs for the homeless and children in need.Read the story in the Ottawa Citizen.

Ottawa Hospital to name expanded Breast Health Centre “The Royal LePage Mammography Room.”

In addition to the United Way award, a soon-to-be-completed expansion of the Ottawa Hospital Breast Health Centre will include a room to be named “The Royal LePage Mammography Room.”  This announcement was made on May 13 by  Jennifer Van Noort, Vice-President, Philanthropy from the Ottawa Hospital Foundation at the recently held Charity Breakfast Auction hosted by Royal LePage Gale Real Estate and Royal LePage Team Realty.

Since 2001, Royal LePage Gale Real Estate has participated in the annual charity auction breakfast to raise funds for important local causes at The Ottawa Hospital. Joined in 2006 by Royal LePage Team Realty, the annual event has focussed on raising funds for the Ottawa Breast Health Centre at the hospital.
